Dear friends I love to hoard cardboard boxes and tins and whenever we get time my kiddo and I spruce them up a bit and use them to store all our nick knacks!
These are the box and tin can we used in our recycling craft

2 weeks back after months of dilly dallying I finally took the plunge and bought a Big shot machine.For 1 week I treated it like a breakable crystal and allowed my daughter to only watch when I used it! In our house so far I have let my kiddo use all my crafting stuff except the craft knife and the glue gun ! So I felt like the big bad mean witch who wouldn't share !! and besides it was no fun crafting alone! So this weekend I let her use "my toy" and now she is a pro and can even remember the sandwich combinations !!
So here is my kiddo carefully and with wonder using the Big Shot to create her ocean themed recycling craft!

She embossed pearlised card stock in dots and swirls pattern and carefully layered them over the box we were recycling

Whenever I craft with my daughter I love to sit back and see how she creates! It was fun how she made the sandy beach with a coconut tree.She embossed swirls on pearly white card for the clouds which I helped her cut out.

My little one is a romantic and she added a boy and girl on the beach and a pair of dolphins leaping into the sky

We stuck thermocol balls on the tree for "coconuts" and some shell for the ocean theme.

We transformed the originally dull surfaced foam dolphins into glossy shiny beauties using glossy accents

Wound some pom pom ribbon around the lower part of the box and also stuck embossed paper on the sides of the lid to match the design on the top.

We recycled the tin can using the same ocean theme.

I never thought having a die cutting machine would be so much fun and never imagined a 6 year old could handle it so easily!

I hope you enjoyed this fun ocean craft.You dont need a machine to create fun stuff .....but having one is just like having a fun toy!
