| Faux Cake |
Dear friends I am almost embarrassed to post this rather childish looking creation! This started off as a cardboard box I had grand plans to recycle into something cheerful and happy to hang on the wall. I thought I would go with the rainbow theme and it all began well but somewhere along the way some immature child within myself took control and all went a bit awry!!
Well now that I have admitted my "unhappiness" with this project I hope you can find something "happy" to look at on this "Faux Cake" wall hanging!

The elegant golden water-colored butterflies are perhaps a salvage point...they look gorgeous !!

I guess watercoloring all the beautiful colorful butterflies unleashed the "unrestrained" impish child in me and I couldn't help adding color everywhere!!

Oodles of dazzling rainbow colors everywhere on this one!! Even the pattern papers I chose have rainbow colors!

The pink "
icing" you see on the border of my box / cake was made with
collage clay ,a type of soft air drying clay from
Plaid [the makers of ModPodge] It comes in a piping bag with different styles of nozzle and you can pipe it just like real icing!

Icing my "
cake" was fun and the faux icing actually looks like real strawberry icing! Yummy!!

I haven't decided whom to gift this Birthday Wishes wall hanging to...I guess I have to find someone who doesn't mind a riot of colors!!
Edited : My daughter has claimed this as her "advance birthday present" and has happily took it to hang in her room!! I am so relieved someone likes it!
